1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, creating an account, or using My Pet Assistant (the "app"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

2. Description of Service

My Pet Assistant is a mobile application that allows pet owners to:

• Create and manage profiles for their pets.
• Track medical history, vaccines, and veterinary visits.
• Log and visualize pet-related expenses.
• Find veterinary clinics and pet stores near them, where available.

3. Account Registration

• You must provide a valid email address to create an account.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
• You must be at least 13 years old to use this app.
• One person may not create multiple accounts to circumvent any restrictions.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to use My Pet Assistant only for lawful purposes. You may not:

• Use the app to harass, harm, or impersonate others.
• Attempt to access other users' data or accounts.
• Upload malicious code, viruses, or harmful content.
• Use the app for any commercial purpose without our written consent.
• Attempt to reverse engineer or copy the app's code or functionality.

5. Medical Disclaimer

My Pet Assistant is not a substitute for professional veterinary advice.

The information provided in the app — including medical record templates and clinic listings — is for organizational and informational purposes only. Always consult a licensed veterinarian for your pet's health concerns. We are not responsible for any harm resulting from reliance on information in the app.

6. Clinic and Store Directory

The veterinary clinics and pet stores listed in My Pet Assistant are provided for informational purposes. We do not endorse, guarantee, or take responsibility for the quality of services provided by any listed business. Prices, hours, and services may change — always confirm directly with the business.

7. Subscription and Payments

Premium features (more than one pet, AI-generated summaries and insights, and inviting caregivers) are available through the "My Pet Assistant Premium" subscription, sold through Google Play.

• Free trial: New subscribers get a 30-day free trial. You will not be charged if you cancel before the trial ends. The free trial is available once per Google account.
• Price: After the trial, the subscription costs $7.99 USD per month (or the equivalent price shown in Google Play for your country), charged to your Google Play account.
• Automatic renewal: The subscription renews automatically every month until you cancel.
• Cancellation: You can cancel at any time in Google Play → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions. You keep Premium until the end of the period you already paid for.
• Refunds: Payments are processed by Google Play and subject to its refund policies.
• Deleting your account: Deleting your My Pet Assistant account does not cancel your subscription or free trial in Google Play. Cancel it in Google Play to avoid further charges.

Without an active subscription you keep full access to everything you have already saved — pet profiles, medical history, weight, wellness, medication and expense records — and you can keep logging new entries.

8. Intellectual Property

All content, design, code, logos, and features of My Pet Assistant are owned by us or our licensors. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on the app without our express written permission.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time if you violate these Terms of Service. You may also delete your account at any time through the app or by contacting us.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

My Pet Assistant is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses. We are not responsible for data loss resulting from technical failures.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, My Pet Assistant and its creators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of revenue, or personal injury to your pet.

12. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Miami-Dade County, Florida.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service at any time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated terms.
